How He Loves
How he truly loves us. He loves us so much that he willing went to the cross. Thats the equivalent of someone walking down a dark all in a big city knowing that you will be jumped robbed and beaten to a pulp then left on the ground to die. Now in our minds thats stupidity, but not in His, he loved us THAT much! He was willing to walk into the worlds standard of the absolute worst and take it on, just so that we may live. Thats taking the statement that "we are to die for" to the utmost extreme.
So stick this in the back of your head, He loves you SO much he was willing to let things HE made beat him up. Thats like letting your sandwich you made beat you up. >_< Yeah not fun! If we could only start to grasp and fathom just how deep His love for us really is, those self esteem issues would go away. It would get rid of confidence problems, acceptance problems, and rejection problems. We wouldn't have to wonder if God still loves you, even if you just majorly flubbed. We would know that He loves us so infinitely. That God's love doesn't change to be any more or less because of our actions. Ever. Isn't that comforting that no matter what you do you can never make Him love you more, and every time you mess up know that that doesn't make Him love you any less.
So we can stop trying to perform and work for His love. We can know that He loves us just the way we are, and learn to do things to serve Him because we love Him, not out of obligation. Its almost like when you do something nice to make your little sibling smile. Its not because it will make them love you more, but because you want to please them. Thats the attitude we should have while serving God, a willing heart. I'm not saying that you will always feel so willing, sometimes you will feel like it is an absolute chore BUT, keep heart when you press thru that ick state, it will always get better! Even when we are still stuck in a rut of that ick state just remember nothing you do can make him love you more or less!
So then why do we feel like there is a script to follow, and that when we miss the mark, we are evil in God eyes, and He will hate us until we straighten up. That is SOO not the case!
He knew us from the beginning and loved us KNOWING that we were going to mess up. So while your all in a tizzy about "the latest sin" God is like "no need to fret, I forgave that already"
So I encourage you to remember who you are who and who loves you.
Never let anyone try to convince you the God loves you any less because of something you did!
